Giardini Naxos, Taormina, Aeolian Islands and Mt. Etna, Sicily!

 And this is how we slept, only for two nights.

 Sarah was tired from our early morning travels.

 Castelmola, Sicily all the way up there! We went to Castelmola this same night! :)

 Bellissimo (wonderful)! 




 This is one of my favorite pictures. 

 trying to find Castelmola by foot, and little did we know... 
it's at the very top of that mountain to the left, under the light post!

mmmm... smell those lilacs! 


 one bus ride later, we made it to Castelmola (550 meters above sea level)! 

 and we're still climbing!

 Went to find the black sand and we were welcomed by a sand storm!

 This was taken right before the weather took a turn for the worst! 

 Our boat ride back was rather scary. Very choppy to say the least! 

 God giving us His sign that all is well.

 We awoke for a day trip to Mt. Etna!

Our last meal in Sicily... pistachio pizza, Gambino wine, and some pecorino cheese.
So long, Sicily. What great times we've shared! Baci!
